Hello all!
When we are trying to close our batch at the end of the night in Store Operations Manager, we try to print our Z report and half of the time it will freeze and come up with "Unknown Error". We can exit out of it, but the batch will be closed as if it did print the Z report. It happens half of the time for most employees, and one employee it happens every time.
We are running:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Intel i5 Processor @ 3.10 GHz
8GB Ram

OK, if the Batch is closed, it means POS inserts the data into the RMS database. But have You check-out if the saved Batch data is correct? Also, can You see the image of the Z-read in your database? Can You re-print it?? Can You reprint it on other printer?
What is the receipt printer You are using? Can You try to print something else on that printer, from Notepad or Word? Do you get the same result when printing outside RMS??
Just few hints...to try to find more on the issue...

Does the report have any header logo printing with it? If so this can cause an issue, and disabling it will fix the issue. Otherwise could be a failing receipt printer, and sometime the thermal print head isn't working correctly.
