Hello all,
I am reviewing appropriateness of role assignments for users in NAV and I've concluded that some users *should* have read-only access to all objects but in fact they have insert, modify, delete, and execute permissions.
I was told this is needed in order for the users to log into the system (i.e. "write" to the user register and document their dateTime stamp). But, as I understand it, logins are automatically monitored in the background for all applications. As in, you don't need special access rights in order for your entrance to be logged. Moreover, in this case, why would there be access to modify and delete?
My question is, is it possible to have read-only access in NAV 2017 while still logging basic user access activities like sign-ins?
Thank you!
