Hi All,

I am running Close Income Statement and its saying 'the journal lines have successfully been created' created but I couldn't see the journal and its never created.  I dont have any restriction on General Ledger Setup allow posting from and to.  Is there any setup required to where the closing entries to be created in general journal entries.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I hope you are checking template and batch. Go to General Journal Template and check the batch name as shown in screenshot and click Edit journal.
If you are checking at correct place but still couldn't find it then in that case may be there is no entries created. This can be due to not having any balances to transfer.for that particular fiscal year so please check that as well.

    Regards,
    Dhiren

    Hello ,

This isn’t a posting or G/L setup issue — Close Income Statement always creates the entries in the exact General Journal Template and Batch you specify, not in the default General Journal. In your case, the lines are created under Template = YEAREND and Batch = YEAREND, so you need to open that specific journal to see them. If you look in a different journal, have filters applied, don’t have permission to that batch, or used Schedule (job queue), it will look like nothing was created even though BC reports success. There’s no extra setup required beyond having the correct journal template and batch available.

    Hello,

Hope you are checking in the same template and batch defined as per your screenshot.

I did a quick test, and there were no problems. If your environment includes customization, it could also be due to the customization.

    Thanks

Thank you very much everyone for your kind replies much appreciated.  I found the issue the company which I was close income statement year didn't have any transactions at all so thats the reason the journal was not created.  Sorry and thanks again.
