Adding Custom fields to the Purchase Order

Hi all,

 

Does anyone have a clear set of steps for adding a custom field to the PurchTable and ensuring that:


  1. The field is also captured in PurchHistory, and

  2. It appears correctly in the purchase order versioning (i.e., when tracking changes across PO versions).

    3.  

I want to make sure the field is not only visible on the form but also included in the versioning logic so that any updates are tracked and reflected in the PO history.

    Hi Lex,
     
    This will require a customization. First of all. you need to add the fields on the purchase order and the confirmation table (VendPurchOrderJour). Copying the fields form the PurchTable to VendPurchOrderJour can be done by extending the table method InitFromPurchTable on the table VendPurchOrderJour.

    These custom fields are currently on the PurchTable. If we add them to VendPurchOrderJour, will that ensure they are also captured in PurchTableHistory? Also, could you clarify the purpose of PurchTableVersion?
