trouble with clear unused receipts deposit option

hello ..

 if i select " clear unused receipts deposit option " from Bank Deposit window

by mistake and clear some of my cash receipts  deposits ,,,

 so is there a way to undo or correct that action and let this cash receipts shown again in bank deposit window

    Hi,

    Try voiding the deposit. That should make the receipts 'depositable' again.

    thanks for your prompt reply ...

    i already  voided the deposit  ,,,, but after i did that action ... i didn't find cash receipt shown again in bank deposit window ,plus the sub ledger and general ledger

    got not balanced " the variance is equal to  receipt amount "  ???

    Hmm,

    The general ledger would not have changed because neither deposits nor voiding deposits create a journal entry. Did your check register balance go down as a result of the deposits being voided? It shouldn't have. This is a puzzler, I'll have to try a few deposits and then void them to see if I get the same results.

    Hi again,

    I tried it many times and it worked as expected. I did a cash receipt for  $15,000. The GL Cash balanced increased and the bank  register didn't. The bank then had the 15,000 receipt to be deposited. I created a deposit to clear receipts and included that 15,000 in the deposit to clear unused receipts. It came off of the receipts to be deposited window and it had no impact on the cash balance and no impact on the checkbook register. I then voided that deposit to clear unused receipts. The void had no impact on the GL Cash Account nor the checkbook register balance. I went back in and made a new deposit and the 15,000 was there to be deposited anew. I deposited it in the checkbook as a regular deposit. This had no impact of the GL Cash balance, but it increased the checkbook register balance by 15,000.
