Need clarification on queue behavior on re-assign

The checkbox "Automatically move records to the owner’s default queue when a record of this type is created or assigned" is checked on task entity.

While creating a new task, the task gets added to default queue of the owner.

But after re assigning the task to a new owner, the task is not getting added into the new owner's default queue.

Is it as designed ? I am using CRM Online.

    Dinesh,

If you assign that queue to another user, then that user (i.e. New Owner) will not get added in the Queue members. Whereas the existing user (former Owner) will remain in the Queue members and will not get removed automatically. Also you need to manually add new owner to the Queue members.

    Refer the following blog:

    inogic.com/.../queue-enhancements-in-microsoft-dynamics-crm-leo-release-part-1

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    R.Rajkumar

    Hi Rajkumar,

I am not talking about common queues. I am talking about "user's default queue that gets created for each user".

My confusion is with the words "created or assigned" in "Automatically move records to the owner’s default queue when a record of this type is created or assigned".

    Thanks

    Dinesh
