Short-cut key for editing current field?

Hello - Looking for a keystroke that our clients can use to edit a field (say an Item Description) when they're editing a particular field on an Item Card. (They like keyboard short-cuts, not the mouse). As they tab into a field and begin to type, the entire field is replaced. They want to use arrow keys to reach a spot in the description to make changes.  Right now the entire field is highlighted so typing deletes it completely. If they hit arrows, they jump to another field. Is there a keystroke to allow you to move around in the field and edit it without using the mouse first?
I have the same question (0)

You can use the 'F2' key. After you tab into the field press 'F2'

I think the arrow keys are enough. For example, click → (right arrow key)

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for your help Yun Zhu & Valentin.  The F2 key does seem to let me edit in all the different page types. The arrow keys work many times, but don't seem to work on a few page types ('Bins' under Locations is one example).

(BTW - A site glitch seems to be preventing me from marking your replies as 'Answered')

Yes, To edit a field without using the mouse, you can use the F2 key to enter edit mode. If you find that the arrow keys are causing the cursor to jump to another field or if the F2 key does not work in specific scenarios, it might be related to page configurations or restrictions on those page types. I recommend checking if there are any unique settings or customizations applied to these pages that might be affecting keyboard navigation.
