Hello, I need your assistance. Several of our sales representatives are using the CRM to open the F&O configurator through Dual Write. Currently, all of them have a full SCM license with Finance attached. I am convinced that we could reduce the licensing level.
I am in the process of testing a setup with SCM only (not yet validated), but I am wondering if it would be possible to go even further and assign an Activity license instead.
Below is a summary of the required access — Associated privileges (Sales Order Processor – Activity):
1. Customer quotations management
SalesQuotationConfirm → Confirm a quotation.
SalesQuotationSend → Send a quotation to the customer.
SalesQuotationView → Read quotations.
👉 This covers the full cycle: quotation → confirmation → conversion into an order.
2. Customer orders management
SalesOrderMaintain → Create and modify a sales order.
SalesOrderConfirm → Confirm the order.
SalesOrderView → Read orders.
SalesOrderCopy → Copy a quotation or an order to generate a new one.
👉 The sales rep can convert a quotation into an order, adjust lines, and check the status.
3. Products and variants
EcoResProductSearch → Search for a product.
EcoResProductVariantSelect → Select a standard variant.
SalesOrderLineConfiguration → Launch the product configurator (basic use, not maintenance).
👉 The user selects variants or configures a product prepared by engineering.
4. Customers
CustTableView → View customer data.
CustTableMaintainLimited → Create/modify customers in a limited way (basic information only).
👉 Sufficient to link a quotation or order to a customer.
5. Consultation & reporting
SalesAnalysisView → Review completed sales.
CustInvoiceJournalView → Access invoice journals (read-only)
InventoryOnHandView → Check stock availability (read-only).
👉 The sales rep has basic visibility without the ability to modify logistics or accounting.
Question: Is it possible to create an Activity license role, or is there another way to avoid giving sales representatives full licenses?
