Outlook Offline - Age of Data - Show Date When Offline

Hi,

Anyone have any ideas of how a user can tell when they last went offline? I was hoping for a date displayed somewhere to help the user know when he/she went offline.

Any ideas on how this might be accomplished?

    Hi Michael,

    There is no place in the client where the user would be able to see when they last went offline. You may be able to pull this from the registry path HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient in the LastOfflineUpdate key. You may be able to build something custom to do this, but out of the box, this is not currently a feature.

    Hi Aaron,

    Thanks for the info. This will potentially help create a solution.

    This has come up a couple of times from customers and it's a really good question. It would be nice to have a date/time stamp somewhere that shows this information. I will add this to Connect.

    Hi Aaron,

    I checked the registry settings and see no LastOfflineUpdate key. The closest one is OfflineDbTimestamp but this field always remains null (never changes before or after a sync).

    I am syncing with CRM Online and the current Outlook client is 5.0.9690.1992

    Any other ideas or suggestions?
