Calculation in Financial report after sign change

Dear Members,

I have a requirement in Financial reports. I have three rows and marked the accounts and i view the financial reports the 1st row balance is 3000, 2nd row balance is 2000 and in 3rd row i give the formula like 1st + 2nd row.  Now i use the sign change option in 1st row now balance is -3000. I want the balance in 3rd like (-1000). But in BC after the sign change for row the calculation is based on the (-3000)+2000 = 5000. Its calculate based on original sign. But i need after sign change balance like (-3000)+2000 = (-1000). Please guide me to resolve and share your opinion as soon as possible.

Note : {Please kindly note before its 3000 after the sign change option it becomes (-3000)}

Thanks in advance
Raja.

    Calculation in Financial report after sign change
    hi
    financial reports (Account Schedules/Row Definitions), the Sign Change setting only changes the way the number is displayed, not the underlying calculation. That’s why your third row still adds the original values (3000 + 2000), even though row 1 is shown as –3000 on screen. If you want the calculation to reflect the changed sign, you cannot rely on “Sign Change”; instead, you need to either (a) build the formula using a negative reference (e.g. -Row1 + Row2 instead of Row1 + Row2), or (b) use an extra row where you flip the sign with a formula, then reference that row in your calculation.

    Hi,
    just change the sign in the formula on 3rd row to be 1st+2nd (you say it is 1st-2nd, but the example is addition not substraction). Also and option would be on 3rd row to do a formula 3000 - 2000 =1000 , and just change the sign on this line, so the end result is shown as -1000
    Another approach You can use additional lines, that are not printed, and do a multiplication of row 1 by -1 to change the sign on the value.
