MS CRM + Auto post on Yammer wall for custom entity

Hello,

We are using MS CRM 2015 Online integrated with Yammer. I have a requirement to post a comment or message on Yammer wall if custom entity status changes and the same time owner of the record should be follower of the post.

As i am new to the Yammer so need some insights here.

-> How to enable post config rule for custom entity to post on Yammer wall.

You can't have Post Config Rules for custom entities. Instead you can use a workflow process to create a Post record and set the regarding record of this Post to be the custom entity record from which the event has been triggered. This will then show up under the System Posts tab of that record's wall, just like the default auto posts from Post Config Rules would.

Similarly, if you need to automatically set users as followers of specific records, you can use a workflow process to create a Follow record connecting the record and the user.

I'd say that if you need to worry about the performance impact of Activity Feed posts and follows, then you're probably creating too many of them to be valuable information for the end users in the first place. Always set the workflows to be run asynchronously instead of real time, to avoid adding visible overhead to the record creation operation.
