Who can create new customer accounts? Add new general ledgers? ETC

Hello,

We are running into a very frustrating problem and need help asap. We have a business central premium license and it is assigned to one user in dyanmics 365 "Business central premium" license 1/1. Then we have 3 team member licenses and they are assigned to the 3 users, but they are unable to create any new accounts or anything else, even though they have all the same permissions of the business license premium user.

Hi,

Below is the list of things a team member license can do.

Read data within Business Central

Update existing data and entries in Business Central

Approve or reject tasks in all workflows assigned to that user, with the limit that approvals and rejections can only update data in records that Business Central Team Members can access

Create, edit, and delete a sales or purchase quote

Create, edit, and delete personal information

Edit job time sheets for approval

Use the Dynamics 365 Power Apps/Power Automate use rights provided with a Dynamics 365 license

Their application module may be customized with maximum 15 additional tables (custom tables or standard Dataverse tables) available to the Business Central Team Members license per pre-approved application scenarios

So granting the same permission set won't allow the users to create customer in Business Central

Hi,

You need to understand what all users need to do.

If those users are going to perform some process in manufacturing module then go for premium license.

If Users are going to create Customers, Vendors, Items, Normal Sales Process and Purchase Process and some accounting thing then you can go for Essential license.

Premium license cost you 100 dollar per month whereas Essential license cost you 70 dollars.

So choose license accordingly as per your requirement.

You can buy the license directly from Microsoft or ISV

Purchase Full user for doing the above activities.

Team member is used for analysis purpose.
