Purchase order registration

Anyone know where you can get visibility in D365 to see if a PO is registered, without clicking into the PO itself and going to update lines and registation. ideally similair to the order status e.g. received etc. I have tried adding in the column for registration in ALL Purchase orders screen but it is not available.

Any ideas?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Torlila,

    You can see Registered POs in the Registered not received orders list on the Purchase order receipt and follow-up workspace.

    You can also use the Inventory transactions inquiry (Inventory management > Inquiries and reports > Transactions). Set the following filters:

    Reference = Purchase order
    Receipt = Registered

    on this one, you will be able to use the Display dimensions button to enable Serial number.

    If you wanted the data in PowerBI, well there is no data entity for Inventory transactions. You might need to investigate whether exporting to data lake and reporting from there is appropriate.

    Purchase order registration
    I've searched in D365, and also compared against DAX 2012 R3 and cannot locate where to find the registered items/serials on the purchase order line.
    How do I know that a PO line and been registered already? I have tried to extract data from the PowerBi desktop from table/entity InventTransRegister, however, the table/entity is not visible to extract data. For those tables/entities that are not visible, we would have to request vendor to make them available. Currently, the only time you know registration has been done is by checking the Receipt status field on the registration form is set to Registered. Not to mention, alot of these tables are not visible to us.

    RE: Purchase order registration

    totally agree, it was a question asked, and to be honest Satish i said the same thing. just good to not be the only one who would say this in terms of 1) it is a customisation 2) its not practical as registration is line by line.

    I am non IT and an operations manager, so often my logic is doubted you see :)

    RE: Purchase order registration

    Hi tl82,

    Getting the field to show on the header may not be useful unless you want to get status that convey there is some registration. If you notice a PO can have multiple lines. For a given line, you can have multiple qty and it can be partially registered. So be careful if you plan to proceed with the customization. Suggest you don't do this and understand business requirement further or make educated step forward.

    Hi TL82,

    This status is not visible on the header. If you need it, you would require a small customization to achieve this.

    ideally view in all purchase orders and see that the PO is registered at the header level. or in another screen at the header level

    RE: Purchase order registration

    Hi tl82,

    Where do you want to view the status of the item? In purchase order line or other?

    You can see the status Registered for the item in On-hand list --Transactions if it is registered.

    Regards,
