How to remove allocated inventory when none is allocated
*This post is locked for comments
Have you run the inventory reconciliation ?
This is the first thing to start with, it can be opened from Microsoft Dynamics GP : Tools : Routines : Inventory : reconile
If this is the first time, run it over night when no user s are logged in
Your feedback is hight appreciated,
The inventory reconcile was completed with no changes to the allocated inventory. Any further suggestions?
Hi,
Run checklink against inventory. Please make a backup before doing this.
Ran checklink and this did not remove the allocated inventory. Any further suggestions?
Hello Highwood
Although the reconciliation and the check links are usually considered as the prerequisites for correcting inventory allocation problems, they don't always correct such problems. The reasons for that would be quite too many.
Since both of the above didn't get you settled, you do need to dig in the SQL level and run some queries, there is one good script that I have used recently provided on Dynamics GP inventory allocations to SOP orders script
It will simply processes your various inventory-related tables to bring back such allocations for you to match with the inquiry window. Fill in the item number which has the corrupted allocation in the top of the script
declare @ITEMNMBR char(30) select @ITEMNMBR = 'itemnumber'
Your feedback is highly appreciated,

Do you have manufacturing if so, run check link for the same it will be listed as 3rd Party. Also Sales work under sales in checklink.
We use Horizon Manufacturing with GP 2010. Ran the Sales checklink and still have inventory allocated.
so have you ran checklink for manufacturing inventory or not
