Trial Balance with Both Global Dimensions

Hi:

How do you generate a trial balance to Excel that shows the two Global Dimensions of Region and Department, as shown in the screenshot above?

    John there is no report standard, that I know of. However, there are several options

    1. a Power BI report

    2. drop your gl entries to excel and add a pivot table- not a good option as your data grows larger

    3. setup an Analysis View and use that with the Dimension-Detail report printed to Excel. You will need to work some Excel magic again but get your format

    4. Jet Report

    5. Other reporting tools

    You should be able to use G/L Balance by Dimension to do this.

    There you can have both global dimensions as locums.

    You find the G/L Balance in the ribbon of your chart of accounts.

    Well, I mean both Global Dimensions at the same time -- not interchangeably.

    John, That's what I through you meant, you want both dimensions, The Dimensions - Detail and Dimensions - Total reports almost give you what you want but I think you will have to work these around a bit in Excel.
