How to edit a Purchase Order after its warehouse receipt creation

I want to edit a Purchase Order quantity but facing this error

This PO's warehouse receipt has been created but in order to edit the quantity, we posted a negative amount warehouse receipt so that it could be neglected

but still getting the error while editing the quantity of PO, so how can we edit the PO, please suggest

You can anytime delete the Warehouse Receipt and and then recreate post Order modification.

Reason why its not letting you change is the data integrity between receipt and order should always be in lined.

if you will modify the Orde with Receipt created then the data will change between these 2 which should not happen at any point in time.

Posting a "negative amount warehouse receipt" was probably not the right move. There is an 'Undo Receipt' line function available from the posted purchase receipt. This will correct the Purchase Order and all the related entries.

Then you could've tried to change the Quantity on the PO line. But, if because of the negative maneuver this PO now has problems, the you might have to invoice it and do a credit memo, then start over.

Since the quantity was balanced with negative amount so on performing the action undo receipt its giving this
