We have a need for an equipment rental module that is tied into the Microsoft GP Field Service package. I am curios if anyone has developed or also has this need. I know that WennSoft has a similar package, however that is not an option for us. Right not we use the Contract Administration module to get by. It works, but not very well. In our industry rentals and field service go hand in hand. I believe that MS is "missing the boat" in this area. I've spoken to other company about Dynamics GP who like the product and would have purchased it but did not due to the fact the equipment rental a large part of their business and there is no module to support it. I know that there are many other industries that can and would use an equipment rental module as well.

You might check out eOne. They did have an extension for Equipment sales but I believe it linked to SOP.

Actually IBIS is our Dynamics Partner. I know they have a system built with VBA on top of the Contact Administration Module. Ultimately I would like to see a full blown product offering. In the short term a change in the period options would go a long way toward making contract administration more it usable. I simply need a "4 week month" option in the period areas on the contract entry screen. I have submitted this as a suggestion to MS. Now i only need the votes to get them to look at it. If you also have a need for this please vote here.
