Hi,

Creation of EFT files works fine, but we are working in the Australian localisation, and for some reason the bank does not accept files with the standard .txt extension, it should be .aba . Pretty stupid, because the file is identical, just changing the extension does the job. But is there a way to tell Business Central to create the file with the aba extension instead. Did not find anything in the Data Exchange definitions, so I assume it is hardcoded and can only be changed by building a custom extension, but I am hoping that some could tell me that it be changed with a setting somewhere.

Thanks a lot!

No way. You need to request for an event publisher so you can subscribe and redefine the file name/extension.

    Hello,

If this does not exist in standard, I am pretty sure that one of my colleagues in MS support will raise an internal ticket for this to have it added in standard.

    Thanks.

Thanks Marco! Should I raise it as an "idea", or will somebody from MS pick it up from here?

    Hello,

You can do both, but I think it is best to raise it via a request for hot fix via your CSP to get it added as fast as possible. Note that I am not a decision maker, the product group will decide if this issue qualifies as a hot fix.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Did you ever solve this?  I'm dealing with the same problem, though need the file to be ".eft"?  I'm currently doing it with a power automate flow outside BC.

    Best, Mike
