what are the difference between AX & GP,
secondly what is learning process of erp, anyone necessary to expert on all modules or take expertise on one module.

The difference between GP and AX is that they are two completely different ERP products. Microsoft entered the ERP market first when they purchased a company called Great Plains Software. The Great Plains flagship product was GP Dynamics (ERP), and it had beefed itself up prior to the take over by acquiring FRx Corporation and Solomon.
Microsoft then went back to the market and bought two more ERP solutions - Axapta and Navision (essentially competitors to Dynamics GP). The division of Microsoft which held these products was originally called Microsoft Business Solutions. This was rebranded as Microsoft Dynamics, and the three main ERP solutions it now had were rebranded GP, AX and NAV.
At some stage during this process other Business Solutions software was added into the mix, such as RMS (Retail Managment) and CRM.
Thats the history. And thats why AX and GP are two different products - each doing the same basic function (ERP) - but with different code bases, interfaces and functionality. Now... there is a long running arguement about which is best etc. But at the end of the day, the best product is the one that meets your specific needs as a user the best.
Microsoft had a plan to bring all the Business systems together into a single product offering but this has not happened yet.
The learning process for any of the ERP systems is steep. There is lot of functionality. Its not hard to learn, and certainly for day to day users they can get up to speed fairly quickly...but to become an accomplished implementation consultant, it can take many years of experience. A first step would be to study for and pass the relevant MCP exams. Then I would suggest you look for a Dynamics partner who would be willing to take you on as a junior consultant so that you can get on the job training. Obviously a background in any other ERP solution will be a help. An understanding of accounting principles and practices and commercial experience is a must.
