I am trying to edit fields that are a system requirement on my Cases form but 1) they are not showing up in the Fields section under the Cases Entity and 2) I can't figure out how to not make them a system requirement (this seems to have been the default since we have never used these fields). Help!

    Hi,

Another way to edit your field is directly from the entity form. You can double click on the field which will open it's property window -> click on the details and click on Edit and it will open field editor where you can do changes in the field requirement.

Let me know if still not able to do it.

    hi..

You need to go to settings --> Customization --> Customize system or create solution with case entity with all attributes--> then click on fields under case entity --> Open / double click on field you want to make system required --> then you will find "Field requirement" option set on the right side, change it is System required. Save attribute and then don't forgot to publish changes.

Then you will see field will be required on form.

    hope this will help..

Can you please share a screenshot of where you are trying to do this?

Also, you'll need to be in Default solution / custom solution to be able to change the field requirement.

The field is already a system requirement and I don't want it to be on the form but since it's a requirement I can't take it off.

Do you know how to not make it a system requirement. I am referring to the "Field requirement" setting for optional or not, this says "System requirement" in that field and there are no other options in changing it.

Is the field marked as "locked" on the form. You'll need to mark it as unlocked from field properties on the form editor.

Can you share screenshot of form editor please?

I just edited the post to show the screenshot of the error and all the fields with the red lock box that I don't know how to edit or remove.

The "Lock this field on form" box is not ticked, the error (I reposted a screenshot) seems to be a system security issue.

    Hi Kelly,

You can just click on the Change Properties when the field is selected and remove the Lock the Field on the form option. See below

    Hope this helps.

Then this can't be removed unfortunately,

Workaround: Try creating another form and try not to add that field on the form itself.

    Hope this helps.
