We sell consulting services in the form of 36 month contracts. We will sell 3 to 5 types of consulting on each contract as a contract line. To fulfill this contract we send a consultant with the specific skill set out for one or two days a month over the length of the 36 month contract.
For each contract line, I will utilize one consultant over the life of the agreement. The scheduling assistant looks powerful however I don't want to just schedule one service activity at a time. I want to go ahead and "soft" schedule the resource that I want to use over the life of the contract so his/her capacity is properly reflected. I want to be able to say "Bob" is going to do 1 day in Sept, 1 in Oct, 1 the following January and put those on his calendar in something like a pending status. Then Bob's assistant will move that to the actual day that he is going to go onsite.
We have looked at third party Project Management add-ons like AssistancePSA and even PSA solutions outside of CRM like Tenrox but it seems like all of the data points are in CRM Service, we just need to make it work like we work.
So at the simplest level I am looking to Schedule Bob in 1 day increments once a month for the next 36 months. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same question (0)My thought would be to use the Recurring Appointments in CRM and then create an on-demand workflow (or perhaps Dialog) that Bob's assistant could then run when it's time to fully book that month's service appointment.
