Warehouse reclassification Journal and Dimension

I've got an issue here regarding the warehouse reclassification journal to reclassify the expiration date of lot no.

When performing the WH Reclassifying, the journal will hit the GL Account of inventory adjustment, the Inv. Adjustment account is tagged with dimension mandatory.

The weird thing is, at the WH Reclassification journal, we cannot tag the dimension and this is causing an issue with the process of reclassifying.

It will always prompt that the dimension is mandatory and require us to tag the dimension.

However, no tagging can be done at the WH Reclassification journal level and we cannot tag this anyway midway.

Anyone has ever encountered this before?

Have proposed to the customer to perform manual WH Item journal negative and positive, but this issue is kind of weird that it's preventing the user from performing the reclassification.

I have the same question (0)

Can you use the Item reclassification journal instead of the warehouse reclassification journal?

The item reclassification journal do have fields for handling dimensions.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately the location is using directed pick and put away.

Therefore can't use the item journal.

Sorry this is more educational question for me.  you mentioned GL Account of inventory adjustment, tagged with dimension mandatory. I know if items also have the dimension then no need to add a dimension since BC uses default dimension of items. Does GL Account of inventory adjustment, required different dimension? Something like department or ...?

Hi, have tried, the item card's default dimension doesn't tag to the warehouse reclass journal when i tested.

Therefore, the journal doesn't flow over to the warehouse.
