I'd like to use PDF 417, QR Code, or some other form of 2d barcode for our inventory. Has anyone implemented this for their system? If so, how did you do it?

RMS doesn't have the support to print 2D barcodes. You would have to use a 3rd party application to be able to do this. There are a few on the market, and a few free open source projects.
If I was going to do this for RMS than I would make sure to be able to interact with the database. That way to minimize label creation and data entry from one to the other.
