Quick Search and Global Search date issues

Tried searching in the forums haven't found the answer...

Dynamics 365 on-prem

I have a date field that I've created and selected for search and also within the Global Search option. I have the following data in the table:

9/11/2019

9/12/2019

9/13/2019

10/2/2019

When I search for 9/11/2019 I get all the records EXCEPT for 9/11/2019. When I search for 9/10/2019 I get the following:

9/11/2019

9/12/2019

10/2/2019

So first, why is it not bringing up the 9/11/2019 record when I search for it specifically and then why when I search for 9/10 does it drop the 9/13/2019?

Hi,

I have created custom date type field as format date only ( both user or Time independent) in Account Entity and add to the find columns from customization->Component->Entities->Account->View->Quick Find Active Account. and then save and Publish. After that Create data as per mentioned date. When I Search with Quick Find (refer Image 1) it will work perfectly. When I search globally (refer Image 2 and 3) It work there too.

Can U Please explain more about your issue.

I jumped the gun and realized that I had Created On date set in the Find parameters not the date field I was populating.
