How to customize: when changing account owner, autochange of some activities

Hello,

I often have to change the owner of an account. But when I do that, it automatically changes:

The owner of the contacts belonging to the account: this is ok.

The owner of the previous activities with these contacts: this is not ok !

I understand I have to customize something in the relationship between those entities but I am a bit lost.

Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

This is occuring because of the Parental Relationship set for the Account and related Activity. For E.g Email. You need to change it to Configurable  Cascading and change the Assign & Reparent setting to None if you dont want this to happen.

    Below is the setting.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi ,

Change relationship behavior with Configurable cascading and select Reparent = Casecade All.  You can see below tips for more understanding,

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have the feeling this will work at the "first level", I mean for activities related directly to the account. I am looking for a solution for activities related to contacts that are related to the account.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hello,

Remove reassigning of contact when account is reassigned and reassigning of activity when contact is reassigned. In this way you will resolve your "two-levels-deep" issue.

    Good luck.
