Automatically generate an RMA when Sales Invoice is posted?

I have a potential client that is in the automotive industry. They sell injector "cores" that are intended to be returned, and at the point they are returned, the customer will receive a refund for that core. As we discussed Business Central with them, one of the things they would like to see would be that whenever the line item of an injector core is sold, that an RMA/Sales Return Order is automatically created so that they are able to easily track what Cores are still outstanding and when they are returned. I wonder if anyone has seen anything like this, or would have an idea of how difficult this type of a customization would be to complete. Any ideas or guidance would be helpful.

A modification of this kind in BC is achievable due to events being available. Another option to avoid creating an extension would be power automate. This works directly with the API. So for instance I can create a flow for when a sales order changes. I can then check the lines equal the CORE item category, for example, and then trigger further action. Given the API for BC does not include anything for return orders you could use the Http connector to add a new return order by web services. This approach might not seem as appealing but the bonus is that MS guarantee API versioning so you can use an older version. Where as breaking changes in the core application don't have this.
