Hello,

I have 2 marketing lists(static and dynamic). Both of them has  same contact record added as a list member.

If I change the email address of that contact record from abc@test.com to abc@NOtest.com. What will happen?

Will this information gets updated in both static and dynamic marketing lists or just the dynamic marketing list?

    Hello Rav,

The email address update should reflect in both static and dynamics list as long as it's the same contact record.

    -----

The different between Static and Dynamics marketing list (contact type):

With static marketing list, list member(s) are managed(added/removed) manually, list member(s) will not change unless changed by users.

With dynamics marketing list, a query is saved (for example city='Sydney'). The query is executed everytime the list is requested, and it's possible the results are different.

    -----

Above being said, when a contact is added into a static marketing list, a listmember record is created in the backend with entityid = contact's id. The details of the contact (like email, name) are not saved against listmember, thus you should see the  update of email address in static list as well.

    Regards,

    Abby

    Hello ,

This should be  display in your marketing list , no matter what you update for static list. For dynamic list as this is showing based on filter criteria  so you need to make sure the changes should be match your filter criteria to retrieve the contacts.

I mean lets say your filter criteria for dynamics list is --"City = Kolkata "now you changed it to "City= Delhi" , so the contact will not display this kind of changes as your filter criteria does not match.

    Hope this helps.
