Assigning accounts to Territories

Hi all,

I have sales guys that take care of certain accounts/territories. What's the best practice for creating the territory > assign their customer accounts to that territory > assign a manager/user to that territory?

When I get to the part to "add members", I don't see any of the Customer accounts that I just imported to bring them under the territory that I just created. I can only see my Dynamics users to choose from, with no option in the drop-down view for "Accounts" (Not users)

Any assistance? Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Hasibur,

All records were imported successfully. I'm just not entirely sure about the record types. Would the people we sell to be considered "Customers>Accounts" or "Sales>Leads" or something else?

I imagine once I import the people that we sell to in the correct place, I can create a territory , then assign my sales guy to handle those accounts under his territory.

Just not sure where to drop that .csv to import under the correct category/content type.

    Thanks again.

So after further review, it seems the one territory per person is causing me issues. To adjust I will just categorize differently (workaround it).

I know this system is so intricate which is why I'm questioning where to exactly import certain data. (import accounts to accounts, import leads to leads, contacts to contacts, etc...).
