Test environment of CRM on-premise / online

Hi community,

are there any 'testing' environments available to train yourself in CRM custom workflow design, plug-in development etc?

Reason is that at work we have CRM on-premise and only VS2012 Express (which not seems to work with the SDK). On my personal laptop I have VS2013 Professional, but no access to the CRM. I would like to train myself (Beginner in C#, SQL medium skills, advanced in R) in CRM custom workflow logic, plug-in development, app development etc.

Hello,

If your laptop has an access to Internet you can create free trial on CRM Online and use it as a test environment - portal.office.com/.../Signup.aspx;dl=CRMSTANDARD&ali=1#0

Yes setting and using CRM online is good option, another option is to setup a VM and install CRM trial for 90 days, or if possible you can ask IT guys from your company to setup VM for you with required development tool there, so you can use this for your training and development work for future.

The easiest and quickest way is to create a CRM online trial.

Work through the CRM SDK creating examples of plugins and javascript
