2013 CRM Online testdrive Performance too Slow

Hello, I am test driving CRM Online and we are experiencing sluggish responsiveness. The overhead for reviewing a case from outlook is about 30 seconds of wait time. The web page responds even more sluggishly. We are located in Sweden and when I signed up for the test drive I tried to indicate we are in Sweden. Is there any way I can tell if we have the best possible setup for Sweden and are there any more performance tips or troubleshooting we can perform?

Thanks!

I would raise a ticket/support request with Microsoft support and they will be able to give you some help.

The only think I can suggest is to make sure you have the latest rollup of the outlook client addin and if it's still going slowly raise a ticket with MS support

I searched for the rollup on google and found it. It looks like rollup2 has not been released yet but is due any day now. How do I open a ticket on CRM online? Is it free? free for testdrive users?

I found out how to post a request from the main office dashboard. Also figured out how to make the CRM work in multiple languages...english for me!

Ben, how long does it take you to view a case in outlook? how long does it take before it fully loads on both different views? it takes well over 5 seconds on my system.

With the outlook client you will experience slow load time when opening a form after you open outlook. The second time you open the form or any other form it loads much faster. You could try running CRM 2013 from you browser in stead. From my experience the performance is much better.

    Hello beersand,

I confirm that that even with the testdrive you benefit from a full support including an unlimited number of Support Requests, which is a part of your subscription, in your case a part of your free testdrive.

You can open a Support Request with CRM Online Technical Support by the below steps:

    - Log to the Web portal portal.microsoftonline.com with an Admin user

    - Go to Support > select “new support request”

    - Provide details about the issue you are experiencing and your contact details

    - Submit the case

Please do let me know if you need any further information to this.

Regarding the issue itself, have you identified any performance issues while working with the CRM org from within the IE? If so, I would recommend you prior to contacting the Support Team to run the Diagnostics Tool for your organization to test the network conditions you are using. Please perform the below steps to do so:

    - Log in to your CRM Online organization as a user in an Admin role.

    - Navigate to the appropriate relative path for your organization. https://<orgname>.crm4.dynamics.com/tools/diagnostics/diag.aspx

    - Click the Run button for All Tests.

The client latency tool provides insight into the network conditions you are working with. It’s important to note that CRM Online is designed to work best over networks with latency under 150 milliseconds.

What we’ve been given as a general guideline from our product team is that performance will start to degrade at:

    • Latency > 150 ms

    • Bandwidth < 50 KB/sec

Please let us know if this helps.
