Static Code Analysis in Dynamics 365

Looking for a tool or any process using which we can do static code analysis for D365 code in Visual Studio IDE during development and automatically as part of CI/CD pipeline. I didn't find any plugins/addons for VS IDE or any library in which we can see all the rules for static code analysis.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I'd like to confirm if you're using Business Central in Dynamics?

If yes, please refer to: Using the Code Analysis Tool - Business Central | Microsoft Docs.

Or you can re-post your issue to (+) Dynamics 365 Business Central - Forums, Blogs, Support for further help.

    Hi Nya,

We are not using Business Central.

We are using the MS D365 Power Platform only and building our own model-driven applications.

    Best Regards,

    Shreekant

    Hi Shreekant

Then you may try to post your issue to the Power Platform Community.

    Hello Nya,

Sorry for not making it clear in the previous post.

Actually, we are working on model-driven apps now(these apps we are building in Dynamics 365 instance) and those apps have to work along with the Customer Service Hub App of Dynamics 365(CRM).

So I am looking for a solution(static code analysis) that will work for Dynamic's Plugins, Web Resources, Power Apps(if possible), Power Automate(if possible).

    Best Regards,

    Shreekant Sahu

Hi, you may check an extension on XrmToolBox: https://powerappschecker.com/

On PowerApps Build Tools also you can invoke it (for CI/CD process): docs.microsoft.com/.../devops-build-tool-tasks
