The Dynamics AX User Group (AXUG) Academy is offering the following training courses to help you prepare for an upgrade to Dynamics AX 2012. Both courses are being offered in an instructor-led, online environment and all Dynamics AX customers are welcome to participate.
Upgrading to Dynamics AX 2012 - Migrating Your DataJune 15, 2012 - 1:00-5:00pm (ET)
Microsoft has introduced a new approach to the data migration process with the introduction of Dynamics AX 2012. The new model utilizes a source-to-target model to minimize downtime for the production database during the data migration. The Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Upgrade Guide provides information on how to execute the data migration process for your upgrade.
This course will provide a walkthrough of the data migration process by using a data migration walkthrough from AX 4.0 to Dynamics AX 2012. This course is designed to augment the guide and provide practical, real-world issues and their solutions that have been encountered during migrations of Dynamics AX databases.

Microsoft has introduced a new approach to upgrade with the Introduction to Dynamics AX 2012. In previous versions, all upgrade tasks were carried out on a single production system. The new model introduces a source-to-target model to minimize downtime and increase productivity.
This course will focus on the steps to plan an upgrade project, install and configure the hardware, and walk through the steps as if you were executing an actual upgrade.
