I created OOTB template, and connected to dynamics 365 F&O. I selected the table Purchase requisition headers.
I have three screens. I want to add new. When click 'submit' icon, i'm getting an error
If i remove the field than i'm getting another error: requisitionnumber: field required.
Any help available ?
Most likely you have your number sequence setup in D365FO preventing the manual input for requisition number. If you set it to Manual, can you then give the requisition id in your PowerApp?
If you want the OData insert call to fetch a number automatically from the number sequence, you need to do some x++ development.
Thank You for that. Let me check. I'm not x++/D365 expert ... but have some team mates :)
For PoC purpose, you can fetch number sequence from PowerApps like,
after you connect to “SequenceTables”.
*This is a rough sample for Purchase order number case.
But as you know one of the general practice for CRUD from external app is to use Odata endpoint.
Hope this would be helpful for you.
Best regards, Mai
Hello. Thank You for that. I'm not x++/D365 expert, but have some team mates :)
Tell me: Are OData already exist so they (team mates) can deliver just endpoint (https) or they need to develop ?
All public data entities are available via OData without any development.
Thank You again :) What would be the URL(endpoint) ? Could you help me please ?
You can find that information in the product documentation: docs.microsoft.com/.../odata
You are facing Issue of number sequence.. it seems that number sequence configure manually, You couldn't create it using your any external application using OOTB Data Entity.. What I can suggest you either you can change the configuration of number sequence set manual NO if possible.. Otherwise You have to write logic to get number sequence manually using X++ Event handler.
SOLVED: Solution found.
You can create a record (my example) from CDS or Connector.
But: don't give up :).
Create a button. Assign flow to button. Use flow to create a record :).
If you need some details please ping me.
Can you please share how your were able to do this.
Is there a solution without using Flow? i.e. Directly from PowerApps. My number sequence is set to auto and continuous - I get the same error. I can however manually enter the next sequence number and it works ok..
The only way I found is to use flow.
Could you not share the info here? Instead of every one having to ping you? I would also like to create a purch req with header and lines via power apps in D365. Don't mind using flow.
But do I need 2 entities? One for header and one for lines in my power app?
