We are getting this issue while validating general journal, vendor invoice journal in ERP.
The accounting currency AED and reporting currency AED are the same, however the rates are different. The rates must match.
Both accounting and reporting currency is same. Not getting any clue on this. Any idea please!
Thanks & regards,
Hi Sonali Rout,
Appreciate if you kindly let know which version you are currently using? Have you upgraded in latest version?
Even I faced the same issue. What I have observed is; the Cross rate field for reporting exchange rates is blank in the journal and no value is updated here. You can see this in 'General' section of the journal. In my case, I faced this in vendor payment journal. I believe this is the reason for this issue.
We have upgraded to the latest version in the client which is Ver10.0.5 and PU29. I have dig further and found the following.
--- This journal was created before this version upgrade. If any new journals are creating now, this issue is not happening.
--- However this issue is not replicating in Dev or in UAT so that we can analyze further.
--- My assumption is; this could be a bug. For this we may need to check in LCS if available anything for this.
As the issue was urgent because of month end closing at client's place, therefore we have suggested to delete the journal line and re-create it. While doing so, this issue no more appear. But this seems a temporary solution!
Can you please check if you are able to reproduce this issue in Dev or in UAT server?
Best regards,Sourav Dam

I faced the exact same issue after applying 10.0.5. Please check if fields EXCHANGERATE and REPORTINGCURRENCYEXCHRATE are populated in the Journal lines.
I was importing journals using Data management, So had to add EXCHANGERATE and REPORTINGCURRENCYEXCHRATE fields into my import file to fix the issue.
update: It seems to be validating from the LedgerJournalTable. But if you already have the lines populated in the journal, you will have to update the fields mentioned above in the journal lines.
Is this a version issue as it seem not appearing before?
Actually user do not use data management as they do not have that permission. They manually create journals every day. But I will check for my testing for sure. Thanks for this update.
I have checked and the cross rate field for reporting exchange rates is blank as you said. And this issue is in UAT also. As you mentioned, I just deleted the journal line and re-created and this time value is updated there. I have created few more different journals like general journal, vendor invoice and payment and not getting this issue.
Thanks both of you for input.
Yes, It is as a result of a bug fix on Platform 29. This will now ensure that the exchange rates are correct.
