We have deployed D 365 (CRM) Sales module for a client. Account dashboard shows- the maximum record is exceeded. Reduce the number of records.
Please find attached the screenshot.
As I understand, that the record limit is 50000.
Is there any solution by which we can have analysis of all accounts on dashboard.
If its the limitation of standard product, let is know and also suggest a solution which we can propose to customer.
Yes, this is a known limitation and unfortunately there is no option to configure this value. The best you can do it limit the number of record returned by the view using some diltering.
Check this blog on the same limitation-
Hope this helps.
There is a hard coded limit in dashboards of 5000 records.
You options are to either filter the dataset so that less than 5000 records are visible, to use a third party product or to use PowerBI to build the dashboards. Given the changes that are due to arrive in the next October release I would be looking at using PowerBI to write these reports and dashboards.
I get around the limitation by using Power BI, which can be added to dashboards. This opens the door to richer reporting but comes with an added cost to your client.
Hi Ben, Thanks for your inputs.
Can you please confirm if the limit is 5000 records or 50,000 records ?
