I am trying to find Enterprise portal in ax365.
Please guide me where can i get to access enterprise portal.
Please provide some guide or material.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have a Great Day.
Hi AX 2012 r3,
There is no EP anymore, it has been deprecated .
Thanks for your reply.
Very good to see your reply.
Can you please tell me.what replaced EP.
Please provide some light .
Have a great day.
You can find some information here docs.microsoft.com/.../deprecated-features but the main reason for deprecation is that current AX client is web based, so you don't need another web based client
There is no replacement, since Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations is now a web-based solution, for which you may provide access for your internal and external partners the way you want. That is essentially what EP has been doing before, but it is now fully functionality-rich.
You can search for Enterprise Portal on this page to find why it has been deprecated:
i am confused in 2nd point.
please find the below screen shot
Please tell me what duties can fulfill the enterprise portal duties in new ax365
Please show some light on this topic.
It means that instead having very limited functionality exposed by EP and using a completely different model, you now have *everything* on web and you use the same development model (X++, form designers etc.) as for everything else in AX.
How can i navigate to the features provided in the replace of EP.
I can't answer this question, because it doesn't make sense to me. EP was thrown away because all functionality of AX is now available on web directly, so there is no point of having another web portal exposing a limited set of features, as EP did when AX wasn't a web application.
I understand what you are really looking for, for 365 there is not EP anymore, this functionality has been replaced by power bi tool.
The answer will be depends on what you would like to do in EP.
For ex: if you want to create expense report in EP then that functionality is incorporated in D365 workspace
Navigate to Expense management > Expense management > workspace
Hope you understand how the EP functionalities are incorporated in D365 now.
I know exactly what you mean my friend. I am trying to look for the exact EQUIVALENT of the AX' E-Portal function that allowed our users to use the Shopping Cart to create Purchase Requisitions.
I've been reading tons of sites, documents and so on but still I cannot find something concrete like -Where the H*CK is the AX/ E-Portal/ Shopping Cart Function in Dynamics 365 F&O????-
But, thankfully, someone provided this:
With that on hand, I can justify to my boss that we wont be seeing the Shopping Cart any time soon for Employees on D365
Are you looking for vendor collaboration features, e.g. punch out? docs.microsoft.com/.../set-up-external-catalog-for-punchout
Thanks for the answer Andre,
But unfortunately, no. Let me explain: We currently use Dynamics AX function called: "Employee Services Order Products" site, based on the "Enterprise Portal".
We use this so called "Employee Services Order Products" (from now on "ESOP") site to create Purchase Requisitions and send them to review and start the whole Purchase Approval Workflow. We limit our users to enter this ESOP E-Portal to create PR, because the AX client was too complicated to configure user-by-user. It also helps us limit what user can see and do in the system. But now we are undergoing an upgrade to Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
D365 F&O doesn't require "Enterprise Portals" anymore because its cloud-based. So apparently the ESOP E-Portal will be gone, and we are looking for the alternate solution that D365 offers for End-Users to create PR using the "Shopping Cart" scheme that we are using on AX.
My best regards.
Users will of course need at least a Team user license. You can create a purchase requisition on the My purchase requisitions page, and select the items and services that from a procurement catalog or request items that aren't found in a catalog by selecting a procurement category and entering the product details..
Approvals on a mobile but as far as I know D365 for mobile development doesn't support JQuery and I have seen no mention of a PR process mobile app..
Type "requisitions" in the search bar and you will find for example:
"Purchase requisitions prepared by me" and "Purchase requisitions requested for me" and "All purchase requisitions".
