Some Microsoft Dynamics 365 users may already be reaping the benefits of the Wave 2 Release.
In today’s quick-changing world, technology keeps evolving too. Microsoft Dynamics 365 is no different.
Microsoft reminds users that “general availability deployment is based on regions where the environments are created.”
Here is the schedule Microsoft has released:

As a reminder, Microsoft has published this important timeline for Dynamics 365 users and admins alike to keep top of mind this release season:
- Oct. 1, 2020: “General availability: This is when production deployment for the 2020 release wave 2 begins. Regional deployments will commence Oct. 2, 2020.”
- Since March 2020, the legacy Dynamics 365 Outlook client is deprecated. Customers must transition to the modern Dynamics 365 App for Outlook before Oct. 1, 2020.
- Similarly, the home page for Dynamics 365 applications is deprecated as of March 2020 and will not be available after Oct. 1, 2020. The Microsoft 365 apps page will replace it. This will affect you if you use multiple apps and bookmarked the homepage. After Oct. 1, users will be automatically redirected to the modern version.
