Dynamics CRM Tip – Using Workflow AND/OR Conditions

A cool new feature that comes with the Dynamics CRM Spring 2014 Release (SP1) regardless if you’ve chosen to install the new functionality or not is the ability to create check conditions in workflows using ‘OR’ logic.

It’s worth noting that this applies when creating dialogs and actions as they all share the same editor. In prior versions multiple conditions could be specified but they all functioned using the ‘AND’ operator, meaning all the conditions had to be true in order to process the steps under that specific check condition.

With an ‘OR’ condition specified you’ll be able to process conditional logic when one of potentially many conditions are true. Groups of conditions can also be combined with other groups of conditions to create more complex branching scenarios.
