Well… believe it or not, we’re already halfway through March, and there’s finally an end to the winter season in sight. I hope everyone’s 2026 is off to a great start.
Today, I want to take a closer look at the NACHA‑announced rule changes and what — if anything — they mean for you as a Dynamics GP customer.
Before we dive in, let’s set the scene with a little background.
Back in 2019, NACHA released changes for encryption and data requirement. Following widespread industry disruptions at the time, compliance deadlines were later extended to 2023 to give organizations additional time to adjust.
When reviewing those requirements, many of the examples reference organizations processing more than 6 million ACH transactions annually.
In reality, that level of volume falls well outside the typical small‑business profile that Dynamics GP is designed to support and is more commonly associated with larger ERP platforms.
As a result, when 2023 arrived, no changes were made to Dynamics GP — and customers have continued operating without issue.
There were NACHA Security Requirements for June 2020 Effective Dates:
Phase 1 – June 30, 2020 for Originators and Third-Parties with ACH volume greater than 6 million in 2019
Phase 2 – June 30, 2021 for Originators and Third-Parties with ACH volume greater than 2 million in 2020

Fast‑forward to March 2026, and NACHA has announced additional ACH requirements that continue to target larger organizations.
NACHA changes in the 2026 year, are too for greater than 6 million in ACH.

No changes were made in Dynamics GP in 2023, as these requirements applied primarily to larger organizations. Based on a review of the upcoming 2026 NACHA changes, the requirements continue to target high‑volume ACH originators and remain outside the scope of typical small‑business use cases. As a result, no Dynamics GP–specific code changes are expected.
Regarding the Standardized company entry descriptions. You can do this today in Dynamics GP Payroll if you have not done so.
