ReportI am pleased to announce the early release of the Canadian Payroll 2025 Year-End update, which also incorporates the 2026 tax tables for Canadian Payroll.
Canadian Payroll specific documentation and install steps.
Anyone can install this update, we just label it as 'Canada' and it mainly includes changes for Canadian Payroll, but it is an all-inclusive update, and any US install could use this patch to install updates too.
As always, it's crucial to follow these steps for Canadian Year-End.
1. Finish 2025 Payrolls
2. Back up’s
3. Install the 2025 year-end update.
4. Back up’s
5. Close the 2025 year-end and move files to history.
6. Make sure 2026 Basic Personal amounts are updated.
7. Run 2026 Payroll

T4, T4A and RL-1 XML changes
No T4 or T4A form changes
There are several quality report fixes in this update reported last year specific to Canadian Payroll:
--Canadian Payroll ROE Insurable Hours does not round box 15A
--CRA rejected T4 XML for the 2024 year all files – Transmitter and REP number changes
--Canadian Payroll T4 requirement and XML for Indian Act RPP contributions and Union dues Code 94 and 95
--CRA rejected T4 XML for the 2024 year due to postal code checks (zip code)
--Canadian Payroll T4 Summary report needs to split CPP2 Box 16 A and 16 (similar to other reports)

RL-1 Slip Authorization number FS2501061 (enter in the Payroll T4/R1 Print window)
