Include planned orders in ATP delivery date control.

In a previous post we covered how actual purchase orders could be used in the ATP calculation to determine if inventory is going to be available. There is an additional option to included planned orders. This is a quick walk through of the ATP incl. planned orders flag.

As talked about in the video you will need to carefully consider this as an option based on how confident you are of the planned orders firming up and become actual orders. Otherwise you are promising inventory to a customer that hasn’t actually been ordered yet and may not be ordered so the sales order person won’t be able to see that with out investigation. So this might be an option for items that you are regularly turning over an confident of the supply.
