🎉 Announcing the 2024 Year-End Release of Dynamics GP! 🎉
I'm thrilled to unveil the highly anticipated year-end release of Dynamics GP! Every year, I can feel the excitement building up for this moment, just like you all do.
This year, while the regulatory changes are minimal, we've taken the opportunity to address some critical issues reported by our customers that didn't make it into the October release.
As a reminder, this update is ALL inclusive of prior patches. This is especially important for GP as it will include the October 2024 release (18.7) so make sure you test your upgrade, customizations, 3rd party/ISV solutions and business process to verify everything is working as it should.
You can install this update at any time (yes even NOW) when you are ready, this is why we release early to give you ample time to install and test the update with your environment.
We are now on Microsoft Learning, very exciting!! Review U.S. Payroll specific documentation and install steps.

Below is a list of changes in this update. I would recommend customers to install this update if they are impacted by the changes below.
There are NO table changes in this update, just fixes for the product and regulatory updates.

There is also a fix for Web Services where we dropped a patch (msp) for the installs.
(If you use Dynamics GP Workflow and email workflow notifications which uses web services, you should install this update. Sporadic approval time outs may happen when you email two or more people. There have also been cases of .NET Framework error messages at times after applying .NET framework updates to a system, which this update addresses)

The below items have been changed in this update:
With the below quality report fixes, the following versions changed, Dynamics GP Core, Project Accounting, Manufacturing and Fixed Asset dictionaries
--Web Services workflow email approval may time out when you are sending email to two or more people
--You may receive the following error message Arithmetic overflow error converting numeric to data type numeric error, while running Combined History SSRS report for Project Accounting
--The tax Detail report may print blank when using a customer restriction
--When you print and email from the Navigation List, you'll notice a change with the year-end update. We are now sending documents in groups of 30 to prevent Dynamics GP from crashing due to large volumes of sending and emailing. This also helps manage the maximum number of emails sent at a time within the O365 limits. This is a “larger” code change that may impact how you use Navigation Lists or if you have a customization / 3rd party that integrates with this area. I would recommend testing first if this is used heavily in your organization.
Regulatory / Year-End specific changes:
1. Fixed Asset Luxury Auto Depreciation changes.
2. ACA 1095-C, only the instructions on the back page have been updated. All other information on the form remains the same.
