Setup Sales Tax Codes using Excel Add-ins

General Ledger > Setup > Sales tax > Sales tax codes

To access the table name for the Sales tax codes, right click on the Sales tax codes field and then click on personalize:

You can locate the table name in the “system name” box as highlighted below

Now open a new excel workbook and click on the Dynamics AX button from the menu bar. Then click on the Arrow of the “Add Data” and select “Add Tables”

In the filter field, type in “Taxtable” then click the arrow and move it to the “selected tables” then click on the “ok” button.

By default, you will only see the Currency, ledger posting group, sales tax code, and settlement period double click and add the other fields

Once done with adding all the fields you want to add – click on the “fields” button to exit the design mode

Click on the refresh button to pull out all the current values from AX into the excel sheet

To add a new sales tax settlement periods simply fill in the information and then click on the publish button

A status of the publish will indicate if publication was successful or failed

To validate the correct publication, navigate back into AX and validate the publication
