Dynamics 365 Dormant user security accounts in Finance and Operations

Welcome to my next blog on Security framework, this article talks about the dormant user accounts in Dynamics 365 Finance and operations

Lets explore

Problem statement

Business audit team or IT control team wants to have a list of users, who are not using or logging in D365 for more than some days, by this control team can re-consider if user license is required or will disable the users from d365

Solution

D365 has a perfect solution for this problem, by just few clink control team can extract the users list who have not logged in for some days

Navigate to System administration->> Security->> Dormant user security accounts

The below screen will open

Number of days since last login- This is a filer by which we can give a date of last login days of users

From the same screen, we can filter with different account type, along with user ID status like enabled, disabled, all

The output of the above will be like this, screen shot below

From this on screen report, control team can get users list, who has logged in when and days passed he/she last logged in
