Sending email through power automate for a business event in D365FO

Hi,

In this post we will view the steps to send an email for a business event in D365FO through Power automate. For demo purpose chosen invoice journal posting.

Step 1:

Logged into power automate and selected the template "Send an email when a business event occurs in Dynamics 365 Finance"

Step 2:

Configured the business event and chosen business event as "invoice journal posting".

Step 3: Haven't changed anything in the Parse JSON step and used the default one came with the template.

Step 4: Haven't changed anything to the Profile step and used the default one came with the template.

Step 5: Configured and included email Id in the condition step.

Step 6: Configured the Yes branch and changed the subject, body and recipient.

Step 7: Configured the No branch and changed the subject, body and recipient.

Step 8: Saved the flow to see there are no errors.

Step 9: Chosen a vendor invoice journal and submitted for workflow.

Step 10: Waited to get posted.

Step 11: Received email with the content provided in the Yes branch.
