[Enhancement feature] Add a date filter when viewing unsettled ledger transactions in MSD365 Finance and Operations

Welcome to my next blog on unboxing new feature in 10.0.27 version on general ledger main account transactions area, the new feature name is “Add a date filter when viewing unsettled ledger transactions”

In the new version 10.0.27 version upgrade, the feature called Add a date filter when viewing unsettled ledger transactions” will enhance the transactions form

Now see after enabling the feature, the form has been changed, there is no option to check mark “show unsettled transactions”

Instead, Microsoft has enhanced the form and added a new option into the action pane called “Show unsettled transactions”

When you enable this feature, the option to show only unsettled transactions becomes a button and you can define a date on which to filter those transactions. If you open the "Transactions for <main account>" page from the Trial balance report, the date defaults with the last day of the trial balance.

If you open the page from another location, the date defaults to the system date. Only transactions that aren’t settled, or have a settlement date on or before the system date will be listed. Transactions that are settled but don’t have a settlement date will be filtered out when you select to view only unsettled transactions.

Example

I have settled a transactions on 31^st August and gave the filter on 30^th August, hence it will still show as unsettled transactions till 30^th August

See below the transaction is still showing as unsettled.

Now, lets change the date to 31^st August, on which I have settled the transactions, it should not show as unsettled
