What’s New:
The new “Freeze columns in grids” has been released as part of the 2021 release wave 1 plan and it’s in Public preview since Feb 1, 2021, and the General availability on Apr 2021.
Business value:
This feature, which depends on the new grid control feature, allows users to freeze columns in the grid. Frozen columns appear at the front of the grid and don't scroll out of view. If multiple columns are frozen, they can be reordered as desired. These modifications to the grid can be saved through personalization.
Enable feature: Freeze columns in grids:
- Navigate to workspaces > Feature management.
- Select feature name ‘Freezing columns in grids and then, in the details pane, select Enable Now. The feature is turned on.
- The Freezing columns in grids feature depends on the new grid control feature so it has to be active as well.
