CCD on Mondays – Chapter II Security Roles
Hi there! I hope your Monday is going fine so far. Grab a coffee & read on as I tell you today how to sort out security roles for Click Dimensions with your existing CRM roles.

As your solution import is done, you have now to update security roles before you proceed to avoid any unnecessary error/issues.

Click Dimensions import following four security roles to your environment:
Click Dimensions Core – This role contains a minimum set of privileges and must be assigned by default to all the users in your tenant
Click Dimensions User – This role is meant to read/view data generated from Click dimensions & hence most privilege is on Read level. The role also provides the end-user the ability to send emails
Click Dimensions Service – This role gives full access to all the functionalities of Click Dimensions. You then don’t have to use system admin role
Click Dimensions Lock Email Blocks – This role is more related to Email template type – drag & drop where the only particular user will have the access to unlock the blocks in email template
You can now either copy these security roles & merge as per your requirement. Or, you could also keep them separate to avoid confusion.
TIP – If the end-user is unable to send any email or having difficulty in accessing any entity of click dimensions, please check their security roles first.
