Introduction

As most people know, customer satisfaction is a crucial element when it comes to running your business. The easiest way to keep your customer satisfied is by understanding the ins and outs of their needs. Dynamics 365 Customer Insights is an extensive Customer Data Platform (CDP) that collects and organizes your customer data for a complete view of insights and actions needed. While D365 Customer Insights is already a powerhouse of a CDP, Microsoft has announced that within the 2022 Wave 1 Release, there will be four major improvements to the business application, guaranteed to strengthen and refine the user experience and general capabilities.

Why is Dynamics 365 Customer Insights Important?

Dynamics 365 Customer Insights gives organizations a unique advantage. By aggregating data from different sources such as Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Microsoft Dataverse, D365 Customer Insights creates a powerful resource for predictions and actions. This can lower overall fees and increase both agent and management productivity. With the elimination of decentralized data and data silos, it is easier than ever to gain full control of your insights and create meaningful actions in response. Microsoft’s 2022 Wave 1 release will only refine and improve this valuable tool for users and admins alike. To get a better understanding of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, see this blog post.

The features of Microsoft’s 2022 Wave 1 Release are coming out between April and September of 2022. For Dynamics 365 Customer Insights, all four of the upcoming improvements are set to release in the month of September. The main “investment areas” are business accounts (B2B), activities, and consent management.

Additionally, users will now be able real time data from other third-party systems. Business account (B2B) sales will also be fast-tracked through account based insights and lead matching.

Some user-impacting features will be activated automatically. These should still be assessed by admins to ensure a successful onboarding and training. Other features will need to be enables by application administrators to be accessed by users.

Accelerate Sales Through Intent Data and Account Prospecting

With this feature, admins can concentrate efforts on the proper B2B account by collecting data from third-party sources and providing actionable data as to when to reach out to customers, and simultaneously adding customer’s accounts. By matching all this data D365 Customer Insights will provide the correct insights and actions which can best serve your customers. With new data collection you will never have to worry about when your customers may need your help. This can increase overall client satisfaction and create a connection based on trust, increasing the longevity of your client relationships. This feature is enabled for admins automatically.

You will now be able to get business value right away with a new set of industry-specific performance measures that are easily accessible through Customer Insights. This update is helpful to all users. The metrics are determined through collaborative efforts as well as additional research. These templates  can also be used without any prior understanding of how to set up reports. With an overall view on your business value, you will be able to easily spot areas of improvement and reduce the downtime that would otherwise be spent looking.
