Ahmed Mohamed Rafik Profile Picture Ahmed Mohamed Rafik 3,049 User Group Leader

Audit Trail Codes feature in Dynamics NAV are used in the General Ledger (GL) to group and trace transactions throughout the system and get insight into when and where historical transactions originated.

When you create a new company, it will already be defined automatically, and you can view all source codes created by the system from this path:

<Departments/Administration/Application Setup/Financial Management/Trail Codes/Source Codes>

To view the setup that is already made by the system, to trace transactions from every module, you can find it through the following path:

<Application Setup/Financial Management/Trail Codes>

As we said before, these setups are made automatically to trace GL Transactions that occurred, and you can trace the GL entries and it’s source code through G/L Register.
